Q: How long is the rental agreement? 

Rental agreements are month-to-month and automatically renew on the 1st of each month until cancelled.


Q: How do I pay my monthly rent? You can pay by credit card, check, or money order. You can pay online or mail payment to Advantage Self Storage, P. O. Box 3448 Oxford, Alabama 36203.


Q: When is rent due? 

Rent is due on the 1st day of every month and past due after the 5th. 

We do not mail out monthly statements. 



Q: Can I get a discount if I commit to a longer stay? You receive 1 free month when you pay in advance for 11 months of rental. 


Q: Do you pro-rate my final month? 

As a general rule our billing is not pro-rated. Provided your account is current upon cancellation we will normally make accommodations to allow an extra day or two for you to move out. Please contact us in advance for any special considerations. 



Q: Can I insure my belongings in storage? Advantage Self Storage does not insure personal belongings. Contact your home owner’s insurance for coverage. Another option is to contact an insurer that deals with stored belongings.


Q: What can I not store? Do not store food. No live animals or plants. Do not store firearms. Do not leave paint, oil, or gasoline in your storage unit. Drain all gas and oil from lawnmowers, etc. It is against the law to store hazardous or combustible materials such as these. A full listing is on the contract.


Q: What type of security does the Advantage Self Storage have? 

We have a six foot fence with barbed wire surrounding the entire site, keypad entry at the gate, and multi-point camera surveillance.



Q: How is the unit locked? Who has a key? You can provide your own lock when you rent your unit. No one else has a key to that lock. You lock it and you keep the key.


Q: What accessibility can I have to my unit? 

You have 24 hour access to your unit with the gate code provided. 



Q: What to do if I can't find my key? 

A service charge of $35 cash to cut a lock may apply and response time may vary. Tenant must be present and provide ID. Tenants are never allowed to cut their own lock.
